Dr Jonathan Britt is the Chair of our Academic and Examination Boards. Jonathan has years of experience in teaching and in academic quality assurances. Prior to joining SHRM College, he was the Director – Centre for Graduate Studies, INTI International University College, Malaysia and Head of the School of Mathematics and Computing, University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Dr Jonathan graduated from University of Warwick, United Kingdom, with a B.A (Hons) Mathematics in 1969 and a M.Sc. Mathematics in 1971. In 1984, he was awarded a Ph.D Mathematics from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Dr Lim Keai who has been with us since August 2019, is our Academic Director, having served in the same position at two other Singapore institutions previously. He has 3 degrees in Business Administration (Bachelor, Masters and Doctor) from U.S.A and Australia and a Master of Education from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Given a strong background in education, it is no surprise that his teaching interests lie mainly in the field of Business and Management and these he teaches up to Master’s level. Of course, his educational qualifications are backed up by an array of positions held in industry, such as Project Manager and Engineer. But there is no doubt that education is his first love. For the last 20 years he has taught a variety of subjects in Singapore and in China, before taking on the arduous task of managing academics.

Ken Chua Eng Siong is our economics guru. Young and enthusiastic, he has the rare skill of making a difficult subject both easy and attractive to his students. He obtained BSc. in Economics from University of London and MSc. in Economic History from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After finishing his master’s degree he started teaching here in Singapore and, some 12 years later, is still teaching!! He has been with SHRM since 2014 and is a member of our Examination Board. Although Economics is his main area of expertise, he lectures in other areas within the Business and Management discipline as well.

Dr Tay Boon Hou obtained his Ph.D from Southern Cross University, Australia in 2003 and has an impressive list of publications in the field of Soft Systems Methodologies and Action Research. He has worked in banking and engineering firms and for the last 2 years has been placing his knowledge and talents at the service of education. He is teaching data science up to Master’s level as well as more general Business subjects. He brings with him an enthusiasm that is infectious and an approach that is totally student centred.
